Authorities said it happened just after 7 p.m. on the 2400 block of 79th Avenue. The victim was struck once in the abdomen in a bathroom at a residence, police said.
She was taken to Einstein Hospital where her condition is said to be stable.
Police said the weapon had not been recovered and no arrests had been made as of Thursday night.
The shooting comes just hours after a 3-year-old was fatally shot in Allentown.
